Annual Giving
Many people give to meet the needs of current patients, in gratitude for care given to a recently deceased friend or loved one, or because they are grateful that Hospice care is available. Each helps meet the needs of our patients and their families struggling with life-limiting diseases. All gifts are very appreciated and acknowledged in writing.
Memorials - Many grateful patient families show appreciation for care received by asking that memorial gifts be made to Hospice & Palliative Care. Families of non-patients sometimes also make the same request. In either instance, donors receive timely thanks and families, timely notice of the gift but not the amount.
Annual Mail Campaign - Hospice conducts a mail-based support campaign twice each year. This is an easy way for anyone on the active mailing list to make a gift. Spontaneously given gifts are also very welcome and are part of this campaign.
Special Events - Each year, Hospice itself presents a number of special events. Some are food events. A holiday memory tree or raffles of a donated canoe or quilt are other examples. These events succeed because of the contributions of many volunteers. Business sponsorship, underwriting of costs and ticket sales all offer important additional opportunities to support Hospice. Please call the Development Office at (315) 265-3105 for more information.
Other times, Hospice is the fortunate recipient of the proceeds of an event organized and run by others, such as a family golf tournament or motorcycle ride. In these cases, we may also be able to help if organizers call in advance.
